Qualifications

Ruth Owens (d.o.b. 14/7/57) has experience in designing residential and commercial schemes and fitouts, and in listed building work.

Before establishing Dransfield Design and then Dransfield Owens de Silva she worked for Architects Journal as Buildings Editor, taught urban design at UCL and Brighton Polytechnic, and worked for DEGW, the leading experts in office design and space planning, doing research into offices and housing.

From this experience she has gained expertise in writing, research and report preparation, and an understanding of urban design and working with listed buildings.

She is currently heading up the practice’s work on integrated Sustainable design and is setting up a multidisciplinary one stop shop service for our clients. Watch this space...
