Tyers Gate, Bermondsey, London

This distinctive Victorian warehouse building had lain disused for 30years due to planning issues when our clients asked us to obtain a residential planning permission for it. The handsome sandstone façade needed refurbishment and we were able to obtain a grant for repairs to this and the roof.
Internally, a new central lift and staircase were added and separating works were carried out to create 8 units. Mezzanines were added within the roof structure for the two top apartments and terraces cut into the roof. Lower apartments had balconies added to the rears. Character-full warehouse features have been retained during the conversion and include natural brickwork, a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and loading bay double doors with a working crane.
